Balmoral Knitwear has been in existence for 120 years. Our staff have decades of experience making the best knitwear possible for corporatewear, schoolwear, sportswear, retail and brands. Manufacturing remains in our own factory in Scotland where we still produce over 2,000 garments a week, maintaining local jobs and skills. Our garments include pullovers, cardigans, scarves and hats. Customer’s own design can be made with low minimum quantities and short lead-times, and we also hold stock of popular styles for many of our markets below. Investing in modern technology, we have added fashioning techniques and programmable software to our long-standing knitwear manufacture.

Corporate and work knitwear. The best yarn blends available are used so that our customers can be confident that their uniform will be both fit for purpose and match the corporate image.

Schoolwear. Balmoral Knitwear offers the fastest and most reliable service for manufacturing school knitwear, and can also embroider stock styles with a fast turn-around. High quality yarns include a range of Wool blends and our own TPA 100% Acrylic.

Sports and teamwear. We have become a major manufacturer of bespoke cricket sweater styles, knitting a club or school’s own colourways into the stripes of the sweater. For bowls we offer stock white knitwear plus bespoke manufacture in club colours, while for golf we have high quality Pure New Lambswool sweaters. For clubs, societies and teams we embroider in-house

Promotional corporate Christmas sweaters. Our software now allows us to scan customers’ own brand logos or designs and knit them into the sweaters – ideal for corporate Christmas sweaters.

Knitwear for retailers and brands. A fast growing part of our business is knitwear for brands and retailers, including British Wool, Pure Merino Wool, Wool blends and Cotton blends. Country knitwear styles in British Wool are popular, including some with Alcantara patches and others with windproof lining. Other patterns include Fairisle, all-over jacquard and cable. Using our 7 gauge and 10 gauge capacity, we are now supplying knitwear ‘Made in Britain’ not only within the UK, but into the Asia.
