West of England have been designing and manufacturing exclusive cloths in the United Kingdom since 1847. The company is a design led organisation with a passion for creating original cloth with a distinctive character.

West of England produces 100% of its collection in the UK and every production process involved in the creation of this unique collection is undertaken in the UK. The use of local wool fibre enabled West of England to create a unique English identity.

Frequent reference to archive cloths ensures that the new collections reflect the heritage of British cloth translations, we are proud to show our registered trade mark 'The Union Jack' with every piece of cloth manufactured exclusively in the United Kingdom. West of England has become synonymous with British Tweed and in particular Shetland Tweed

The extensive archive and local geographical beauty inspire our designer Caroline Wilson to create a very British cloth. Caroline’s depth of experience ensures that we continue to build on our reputation as producers of fine cloth. Fibre sourced in the UK is expertly woven into a true British cloth which is then finished to the clients specification at W T Johnsons, Europe's premier cloth finisher based in Yorkshire.
