Run by beekeepers, Filberts of Dorset has its roots in British farming. Our skincare and homecare ranges are made using the best of British. Filberts of Dorset is out of the ordinary in being both a primary producer and a manufacturer. Whether it’s a pot of Dorset honey, a box of live bees or a tin of lip balm, we want to know as much as we can about the origins of the products we sell.
Investing in Britain’s Honey Bees
Bees are at the heart of our business, which depends upon a supply of wax, propolis and honey. By choosing our products, you help us to ensure the survival of British honeybees. We act as a Honeybee Supporter with the British Beekeepers Association, making annual donations through product sales and publicising their campaigns and research work.
Handmade in the UK
Handmade in batches from 1 to 1000 units in our production premises in Dorset, our products offer an alternative to the trend for branded goods made by outsourced contractors. We make from scratch, starting by gently heating and filtering blocks of beeswax as they come in from the hives.
Filberts products are 100% natural do not contain synthetic colourings or fragrances, artificial preservatives, parabens, phthalates or mineral oils. They are concentrated, nourishing oil-based blends that contain no water. If you want a salve to absorb more quickly, just add tap water - a few drops will do the trick, or apply salves to damp skin after washing.
